Where did it all begin?

The earliest memory I have of writing was at the age of ten. I remember being passionate about writing a novelized version of 'Metal Gear Solid' (my all time favorite game). I wrote a lot of fan fiction, from Doctor Who to Harry Potter (yes, I wrote a 40 years later novel ... ).

Fast forward a few years later, I met my future writing partner, James Farmer (you can read more about James in the 'My Editor - James Farmer' section).

I cant remember how it started with James, but we were inseparable. We spent every weekend chilling out together, playing games, watching films ... to suddenly, writing funny stories together. One day I may reveal those stories, but I'll wait until we're famous enough that they couldn't damage our reputation ... (queue awkward silence).

Our biggest commitment together was a book called The Adventures of Jim and Simon (a very early version, not related to James' published version today).  We were so excited, writing every weekend, every chapter, planning every book. James' mom, who was a huge inspiration and artist on her own, would draw out art for our books (the picture above), and at one point in our lives ... it was all we could think about.

Whilst that version of Jim and Simon eventually died, I was so proud that James never let that fire die, and re-imagined and revamped the series into what it is today (please, please, PLEASE read Book 1 and 2). I cannot tell you how fantastic that series is and will end up.

I started writing Inhuman during college. I wasn't in a good place and really didn't enjoy my life at the time. I created this world, the characters, and obsessed over the two perspectives of Terry and Amy.

Whilst the story has changed over the years, I cannot begin to write how proud I am of the book I have published today. I have a trilogy of books planned out, and a plot that I am excited to write and share to the world.

I have never wanted fame or success - all I have ever wanted was to write good stories, and for people to read them and enjoy them. That dream became a reality with 'Inhuman', and the feedback and reviews I have received mean everything to me.

I am a man on a mission now and plan to write the 'Inhuman' series. Will I stop there? No chance, I have so many stories to tell, and I cannot wait to share them with everyone.
